Nella Jean West, 89, of Lubbock, formerly of Anton, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2025. She was born on September 23, 1935, to Oma Wallace and Jennie Mae Parks in Bogata, Texas.
Nella was known for her happy nature, delicious home cooking and love of family and God. She was a loving homemaker, active in her church and volunteered at the Anton Senior Center and Meals on Wheels.
Nella is survived by son, Gary J. Ward, and wife, Leslie; stepson, Dwayne West; Grandsons: Dain West, Gaven Ward and wife, Donna, Joseph Ward and wife, Dana, Joshua Ward, Kenny Ward and wife, Arin; Granddaughters: Bobbi Hubbard, Michelle Sena, Jennie Fowler and husband, Randel; and special nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlous West; and sons, Edward Dale Ward and Billy Ray West; and seven brothers and sisters.
A memorial service is set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Anton, Texas with Pastor Herb Rover and Pastor Kenny Ward officiating.
Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
