The 80th Olton 4-H and FFA Livestock Show begins Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at the Olton Ag Pavillion with move in of livestock beginning at 8 a.m., according to Kevin Hukill, board president. A mandatory exhibitor meeting for all exhibitors is planned for Thursday afternoon prior to the start of weighing animals at 4 p.m. with barrows, followed by lambs, goats, steers and check in of heifers.
Judging begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 17 with goats, followed by lambs. Laramie Priest is set to judge the show. The official grand opening of the show is set for 11 a.m. with introduction of directors, FFA and 4-H officers and advisors and school officials. Judging of barrows will begin at 12 noon with the Berkshire breed, according to Brent Burns, swing superintendent. The heifer show will begin 30 minutes following peewee barrow showmanship, according to Mary Bass, beef superintendent.
The steer show will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 18th, according to Michael McFadden, beef superintendent. The awards presentation and show dedication will begin at 12:45 p.m., according to LaDanda Kauffman, board secretary. The 4-H and FFA Cake Auction is shceduled to begin at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the cake auction benefit the Olton Livestock Project Center. The premium sale of steers, barrows, lambs and goats begins at 1:30 p.m. with Leonard Lawson serving as auctioneer.

Directors include Joe Sanchez, Brent Burns, Mary Bass, Dale Falcon, Callen Pinkerton, Michael McFadden, James Bass and Derrik Bodecker.
The show is free and open to the public. There is no admission fee.
