Happy December friends!
We hope everyone had a bountiful Thanksgiving and that we are all ready to celebrate December!
We have been prepping for this upcoming week for months now and we are very excited to announce are 1st Annual Tree Lighting was held on December 2nd. This is something the library board has been working hard on bringing to our community and we are so very grateful to every person that has had a hand in putting this together.
Next, we will be hosting the annual Christmas Bash which includes the lighted Christmas parade, vendor shopping and food trucks, and the library’s Open House, which will be serving free hot chocolate and cookies. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. downtown.
Also, we have extended our Sock Drive deadline to December 13th. We have had a slow month and need your help filling our box with NEW socks for the Salvation Army. Your donation can be dropped off at the library during regular business hours.
And last, but not least, is our Annual Gingerbread House Contest! This year we are holding this contest a little later in the month to give contestants more time to prepare. You can pick up an application at the library. Registration deadline is December 18th, and winners will be announced December 23rd. We have four age categories this year and we are so excited to see everyone’s creativity!
The Libray will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24th through Thursday, Dec. 26th for the Christmas Holiday.
As 2024 comes to an end, we want to thank our community for the continuous support we have received. We are honored to serve you and your families. It has been a gift getting to know each and every one of you.
