Ricarda H. Flores was called Home to Heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Edwardo and Juanita Hernandez on November 19, 1923, in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
Ricarda made a living as a restaurant owner, then later as a professional cleaner. She prayed the rosary and read scripture daily. Ricarda loved to dance throughout her whole life and was always the life of the party. Ricarda also loved to bake and visit the casino.
Ricarda is met in Heaven by her husband, Eliseo Flores; mother, Juanita Hernandez; father, Edwardo Hernandez; sister, Mamie Avalos; sister, Gregoria Garcia; brother, Ramon Hernandez; daughters, Maria "Mary" Gomez and Juanita "Janie" Castillo; and son, Antonio "Tony" Garcia.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Mary H. Rodriguez; daughter, Celia "Sallie" Cortez; son, Domingo "Mingo" Garcia; son, Raymundo "Raymond" Garcia, Jr.; twenty grandchildren; fifty greatgrandchildren; thirty great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Ricarda greatly.
Ricarda Flores lived a true example of a life of Faith, Fun, and Family.
