Daisy Erelene Webb, 91, of Lubbock, Texas, (known by most as "Erelene") passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born February 23, 1933, in Alba, Texas, to Daniel and Willie Mae Shedd. She married Aubrey Webb on January 7, 1951.
Erelene worked for Anton Independent School District for 34 years as a tax assessor/collector and business manager. She was affectionately known as "Grandma" or "Grammy." She was a wonderful cook, and everyone loved her cooking. She enjoyed collecting Barbies and piggy banks. She loved holidays and dressing up for the occasion. She was a sweet woman with a big heart who was always thinking of others. She loved her family and had a special bond with her sisters.
Erelene is survived by two sons, Roger Webb and wife, Sheree of Tyler, Texas; Brent Webb and wife, Cynthia of Anton, Texas; a daughter, Nancy Webb of Anton, Texas; a sister, Peggy Williams and husband, Jerry of Abilene; six grandchildren, Jessica Trice and husband, Lee of Tyler, Texas, Cody Webb of Austin, Texas, Nicki Drumsta and husband, Charles of Buffalo, New York, Treva Webb and husband, Jason Tribble of Tucson, Arizona, Jennifer Cogan and husband, Brian of Jefferson, Massachusetts, and Sara Williams and husband, David of Wichita Falls, Texas; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Webb; two brothers, CD "Jack" Shedd and Alfred "Bo" Shedd; five sisters, Vada Mae Rylant, Nellie Belle O'Rear, Delvina Gage, Jo Dan Waters, and Patsy Stephenson.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2024, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
