Sherry Lorraine Alford

In Loving Memory Of Sherry Lorraine Alford

Sept. 1, 1956 ~ June 7, 2024

Sherry Lorraine Alford was born September 1, 1956, in Littlefield, Texas, to Doyle and Martha (Neuenschwander) Alford, and went to heaven to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 7, 2024 following a brief, sudden illness. She is survived by her mother, Martha Alford; her brothers, Phil Alford and wife, Rhonda, Danny Alford and wife, Suzanne, Scott Alford and wife, Jeanie; four nephews and five nieces, and five great-nephews and five great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Doyle.

Sherry attended Littlefield public schools until 7th grade when her family moved to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, then Channing Junior High and High School where she graduated in 1974. She then attended Wayland Baptist College.

Sherry moved to the Houston area in 1980 and lived there until 2005. While there she worked in various jobs including Cattlemen's Western Store in Alvin.

She moved back to Littlefield in 2005 to help her mother care for Doyle as he dealt with Alzheimer's disease. She was then a constant companion to her mother until Sherry's passing.

She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Littlefield. A special memory of hers was participating in two productions of Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames.

Sherry dearly loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and greatnephews. She loved babies and stuffed bears (especially Winnie the Pooh). She enjoyed playing table games with her family and watching old television shows, especially Walker-Texas Ranger.

There will be a memorial service for Sherry at First Baptist Church of Littlefield on Saturday, August 10, 2024 with visitation at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating.
