Karyn Lynette Vrubel passed away on July 24th, 2024. The daughter of John Vrubel and Lois Hart, she was a lifelong West Texan and a dedicated citizen of Littlefield, TX. Karyn regaled in being a proud Spade HS Longhorn and was named Miss Longhorn of her graduate class of 1973.
Karyn was married to Burcky Tollett (amicably divorced) and they made a loving home for their only son, Zachary Tollett in Lubbock, Texas.
She was a Communications Specialist for Texas Tech University Physical Plant and then became a small business owner with the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. She concluded her working career as a Transportation Security Officer with the United States Government through TSA. She return to her family farm and following her retirement she quickly made a move to Littlefield.
Karyn Vrubel was proceeded in death by her two parents. She leaves behind a brother; a son; three grandchildren; cousins; and countless close friends & other relatives.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks you to plant something beautiful in the dirt.
