132,511 bales ginned by five county gins

The six Lamb County gins have turned out a total of 132,511 bales of cotton, according to a survey done Friday morning, Dec. 27. Since the Dec. 10 report, the gins have turned out 23,588 more bales, to bring the count to the current total. At that time, they had ginned 108,923 bales. All of the gins still have more ginning to do, since some producers are still getting their harvesting done. Amherst Farmers Coop Gin has ginned 18,000 bales, and still has some yet to come in to gin. The Sudan Farmers Coop Gin had turned out a total of 58,551 bales as of Friday morning, and were waiting to bring some more in.
