Dale "Reggie" Cooper, 59, of Anton, Texas, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 in Anton, Texas. He was born June 1, 1965, in Lubbock, Texas to Garland Ray Cooper Sr. and Ada Jane Cooper.
Reggie worked as a Plumber and Heating and Air technician. He was an avid sports enthusiast and played college football for McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. He was a Denver Bronco fan. His love of sports led him to be a referee for 40 years, calling games for football, basketball, and baseball. He was known to be extremely honest, whether you wanted him to be or not. He enjoyed BBQing and watching cooking shows. He had a good heart, and he loved his children dearly. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Post, Texas.
Reggie is survived by three sons, Jordan Ray Clark Cooper of Lubbock, Texas, Chance Courtney of Colorado, and Zachary Courtney of North Carolina; a daughter, Brooklyn Courtney of Lubbock, Texas; a brother Garland Ray Cooper, Jr. and wife, Kellie of Lubbock, Texas; a sister Janette' Smith and husband, Ronnie of Anton, Texas; and ten aunts and uncles, Ginger Huddleston of Anton, Texas, Bill Anderson and wife, Ann of Lubbock, Texas, Jimmy Anderson and wife, Christy of Lubbock, Texas, Sherron Isenberg of Coleman, Oklahoma, Helen Jennings and husband, James of Littlefield, Texas, and Ginger Stanley and husband, Royce of Greenwood, Texas.
Memorial Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Anton, Texas.
Memorial arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
