Patricia Kay Watts, 83, of Littlefield, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Littlefield, Texas. She was born August 15, 1940, in Littlefield, Texas to Bob and Alta Smith. She married Michael Watts, Sr. on September 22, 1956.
Kay and Mike moved to Sulphur Springs shortly after they married, there they raised their children on a dairy farm. They returned home to Littlefield in 1975 where they eventually retired from cotton farming. Kay worked as a substitute teacher for Littlefield Independent School District. She liked to bake and will forever be known for her delicious gooey chocolate cake. She enjoyed playing games such as dominoes, cards, and pegs. She loved living at the lake and fishing. She had a heart for taking care of others. She was a member of the Littlefield Methodist Church. She loved her family dearly and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her husband of 68 years, Mike Watts, Sr.; a son, 'little' Mike Watts and wife, Susan of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two daughters, Jackie Milligan and husband, Ronnie of Littlefield, Texas, and Kelly Fomby and husband, Shayne of Lubbock, Texas; a daughter in-law, Dianne Watts of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, G.H. Smith and wife, Brenda of Rome, Texas; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Watts, Danielle Williams and husband, Cody, Trey Watts, Jessica Gower and husband, Jared, Samantha Watts and wife, Tabitha, Ashley Baker and husband, Greg, Garrett Milligan and wife, Ashleigh, Landon Durham and wife, Kami, and Seth Durham and wife, Kaylee; nine great grandchildren; and bonus family members, James and Wendy Sanders, Mandi and John Griffen and family, Patrick and Krysten Marts and family, and Matthew Marts.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Brenna Kay Gower; a son, Mark Watts; three brothers, Robert Ray Smith, Hollis Smith, and Granville Smith; and five sisters, Eunice Smith Porter, Fay Smith Gleeson, and Tina Smith Lund, Yvonne (Bon) Smith Ray and, Gwendolyn (Jo) Smith Mobley.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Littlefield Methodist Church with Pastor Danny Sanders and James Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Watts, Cody Williams, Jared Gower, Garrett Milligan, Landon Durham, Seth Durham, Patrick Marts and Matthew Marts. The family will receive guest Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
