Freezing weather hits County again

Robert Baker and Garet Gallenmore of Lubbock, sub-contractors with Fortenberry Roofing, were sweeping up the sidewalk in front of the Littlefield Post Office Wednesday. They had removed bricks from the wall where a car had driven into it on Oct. 18, and pushed the wall inward a few inches. The inside wall was replaced, and the outside wall was taped off for foot traffic to go around it. The new bricks are expected to come in a week from Monday, when they will replace the damaged ones, shown on the trailer.

The massive winter storm was stretching from San Angelo, Texas across the United States into New England, and was coating things with ice, causing power outages and traffic dangers.
