D'Ann Rodriguez, 46, passed away on September 26, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. She was born on May 9, 1977, in Muleshoe, TX, to Fernando A. Rodriguez, Sr. and Noelia Anzaldua Rodriguez D'Ann graduated from Littlefield High School with the Class of 1995, and then she attended South Plains College. She worked for many years at her family's restaurant, Rodriguez's in Littlefield, TX. She then went on to work for nine years at the United States Postal Service. She treasured her work family at USPS and formed lifelong friendships that meant the world to her. D'Ann had a true passion for Texas Tech football and could often be found cheering on her beloved team with unwavering enthusiasm. She had a love for Karaoke and a captivating stage presence, she was known as the "Karaoke Queen". Creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere in her home was a priority for her, as she thoroughly enjoyed hosting family and friends. She was a doting aunt to her nieces and nephews, supporting them wholeheartedly in all that they did. D'Ann loved and cared for her sister Andrea as if she were her own daughter, always providing love, guidance, and support. As a proud supporter of the Littlefield Band, the Marching Cats held a special place in D'Ann's heart. She actively served as a sponsor for the band and accompanied them on memorable trips to New York City and Hawaii, creating lifelong memories. Her vibrant and outgoing personality earned her the reputation of a social butterfly. She thrived in the energy of concerts and enjoyed embarking on exciting vacations, embracing adventure at every turn. She truly lived life to the fullest, without any regrets, and embraced each day with contagious enthusiasm and a zest for life. D'Ann was a devout Christian, who loved the Lord. She was a cherished member of Trinity Christian Church in Lubbock, Texas. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
D'Ann is survived by her father Fernando A. Rodriguez, Sr. of Lubbock, TX; her twin brother, Fernando Rodriguez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX.; two sisters, Jessica Keeney (Joedy) of Littlefield, TX, and Andrea Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX; two nieces, Elyssa Rodriguez of Austin, TX, and Mahalia Huey of Lubbock, TX; four nephews, Fernando Rodriguez, III of Lovington, NM, Matthew (Rayne) Rodriguez of Littlefield, TX, Mason Keeney of Littlefield, TX and Micah Keeney of Littlefield, TX. She was preceded in death by her mother, Noelia Anzaldua Rodriguez.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Crescent Park Church of Christ in Littlefield, TX with Pastor Billy Montes officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Fernando Rodriguez, III, Matthew Rodriguez, Albert Garza, Mark Posada, Jason Anzaldua, and Michael Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers will be Micah Keeney, Joseph Rodriguez, Lee Rodriguez, Juanito Garza, Robby Alonzo and Dominic Bautista. Funeral Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
