HB 1481 set to take effect in Texas schools this year

Recently, House Bill 1481 was signed into law by Governor Abbott, banning cell phones in Texas Schools. This law prohibits the use of cell phones, smartwatches, and other non-instructional communication devices during the school day in classrooms from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Pete Christy’s On the Road Lunch Church is coming to Olton on Wednesday, August 6th.Come early for fellowship at 10:30 a.m. at the Webb Elementary Cafeteria, located at 810 Ave G.The Program will begin at 11:10 a.m. During Olton Teacher Convocation, but this special event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Amherst ISD Registration Dates

Amherst ISD School Registration will be held on August 4th and 7th.August 4th, will be high school registration beginning with football players, seniors and juniors from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sophomores and freshmen will register from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
