Lamb County Retired School Personnel Association meeting set for September 2nd

The September meeting of the Lamb County Retired School Personnel Association will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Fellowship Hall of the Littlefield Methodist Church. President Cindie Walker will conduct the meeting and lead discussions of the focus of the Association for the 2025-2026 year.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday morning

The Commissioner’s Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting on Monday, August 18th in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 10-item agenda was considered for appropriate action.Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m.

Lamb County 4-H Banquet Celebrates Award Winners for 2025 in Olton, Texas

The 2024-2025 4-H Awards Banquet was held at the Olton School Cafeteria on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 6:30 pm. The theme for the banquet was Red, White & Moo. Naturally, the meal for the event was hamburgers with all the trimmings.

Cotton Insects This year, on average, we reached 5 nodes above white flower (NAWF) near August 8. Which by my standard is just a day or so later than normal for our area. Based on my data as the Levelland National Weather Service Observer for August 8-22 we have accumulated 315 heat units.
