Lamb County Burn Ban Reinstated

WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court finds that circumstances present in all or part of the unincorporated area of the county create a public safety hazard that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning.

Lady Cats blast Lady blue, 57-27

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team won the Wildcat Classic Championship game last Wednesday, taking down the Farwell lady Blue, 57-27.With the win, the Lady Cats went undefeated in the tournament, 3-0.

Hale County crash leaves one dead

On January 1, 2026, at 5:12 p.m. a one vehicle wreck on SH 194, approximately .5 miles east of CR J, left one person dead.A Preliminary investigation from the Texas Department of Public Safety revealed that a 2012 Ford F150 pick-up towing a trailer was traveling westbound on SH 194.

Mustangs punch ticket to Wildcat Classic Championship with win over Dumas

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team won a thriller over Dumas in the Wildcat Classic Semi-Finals, 57-50, to advance to the Championship game.With the win, the Mustangs improved to 3-0 in tournament play on the week.
