The 2021 Area Junior Livestock Show and Sale will began Wednesday, Jan. 13, when barns at the Lamb County Ag and Community Center opened to receive animals from 2 p.m until 10 p.m.
Littlefield EMS, in cooperation with West Texas EMS Resources, will be hosting an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course in Littlefield at the EMS Station. This 324-hour course will begin January 25th and continue through June. The course will be held every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Littlefield EMS Station.

Applications are now available for the 2021 Don’t mess with Texas Scholarship Contest, and applications will be due March 31, 2021. This contest recognizes Texas high school seniors who are taking an active role in litter prevention in their school or community.

Workers for the Atlantis Acquatic Group, contractor of construction of the new Littlefield Acquatic Center, were working Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, to dig out and remove the dirt from where the swimming pool will be built. Dirt on the right is on the west end of the pool, while the dirt on the left is on the east end. The removed dirt is being loaded onto trucks and taken from the construction site.
