EARLY RISERS MEETING — This morning, Tuesday, Feb. 9, Rachel Soria and Mark Gonzales of Communities in Schools (CIS) spoke with the Early Risers Lions Club about the services they provide LISD students to make sure they have all the resources they need to be successful; this can include food, clothing, academic help and beyond. The club is working closely with them to provide eye glasses to students in need at any LISD campus. Lions Club’s all over the world have been providing eye glasses for almost 100 years and our local club seeks to continue the mission. SWCD taking orders now for windbreak trees and plants

The Lamb County Soil and Water Conservation District is currently taking orders for the Spring Windbreak Tree and other plants sales. There is a variety of trees and other plants available, but everyone interested is strongly encouraged to get orders in as quickly as possible to ensure the variety and quantity of the trees and plants are available.

PCG to host Crop Insurance information session on Feb. 16

Plains Cotton Growers, Inc. will host a virtual information session on February 16, 2021 to review and discuss the numerous options available to producers for the 2021 growing season through the Federal Crop Insurance Program. Brown signs LOI to play baseball for Howard College

Last Wednesday was National Signing Day for High School athletes around the country. Littlefield senior, Chris Brown, inked his National Letter of Intent to continue his baseball and academic career at Howard College in Big Spring.
