SILENT AUCTION TO RAISE FUNDS – This John Deere 1941 BR tractor, and this home-made Parade Trailer were raising funds for the South Plains Antique Tractor Association, during a silent auction that closed at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27. LCED scholarships offered to area seniors

High School Counselors at Amherst, Anton, Levelland, Littlefield, Olton, Sudan, Whiteface, and Whitharral, have received messages from the Lamb County Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors, that they are pleased to announce that the Cooperative will be offering scholarships to Cooperative members’ graduating high school seniors, who are electing to attend a college or university in the state of Texas. No trade schools, etc.

Littlefield Rotary Club is now receiving nominations for the “Administrative Assistant Person of the Year” Award, that will be presented during the annual Littlefield Chamber of Commerce Banquet, to be held Tuesday, April 27, at the Ag and Community Center.

Amherst to hold its 40th Chamber Banquet

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture has announced that it is “Wild About Amherst!”, and has scheduled its “40th Annual Amherst Chamber Banquet” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2012, in the Amherst School Cafeteria.

It is a prolonged feeling of frustration or resentment. Affliction, guilt, tribulation, disgust, not being able to be consoled, anguish. This does not happen overnight, there is a process. Sooner or later every human being will experience this. Our nature allows it; being poor, rich, ignorant or educated, sooner or later we all will live times of bitterness. But then, what do we have to do?

Employers may honor assistants with baskets

Littlefield Rotary Club has made the decision to not host the Administrative Day Luncheon in April, due to concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic. Rotary, however, is currently selling “spa baskets” for $25 that employers may purchase to honor their assistants.
