Lauren Petty takes first place in Big Bracket Challenge

The Lamb County Leader-News’ Big Bracket Challenge has come and gone in the blink of an eye. This year’s big winner is Lauren Petty, of Shallowater, who finished with 133 points, edging out second-place finisher Brendon Carter, of Oklahoma City, OK, who finished with 131 points.

On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, President Joe Biden signed the “PPP Extension Act of 2021” into law extending the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) loan program application until May 31. The original cutoff date was March 31, but overwhelmingly both chambers of Congress passed legislation to extend accepting applications for two more months.
