Hospital Managers hold lengthy meeting on Tuesday, April 20th

Lamb County Healthcare’s Board of Managers met for a regular business session at the hospital at 12 noon Tuesday, April 20, 2021, with Tony Barton, president presiding. Other members present were Steve Busby, vice-president; Carla Synatschk, treasurer; Evan Mxwell, and Brenda Alcaraz.

Soil Stewardship Week, April 25 thru May 2nd

Lamb County SWCD has partnered with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, Association of Texas Soil & Water Conservation Districts, Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Wildlife Association, and Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association to highlight Soil and Water Stewardship Week and the importance of voluntary land stewardship in Texas. The statewide campaign is April 25 through May 2, 2021, and the focus this year is “Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities.”

Deadline for SWCD windbreak trees, plants is Friday, April 30th

The Lamb County Soil and Water Conservation District is currently taking orders for the Spring Windbreak Tree and other plants sales. There is a variety of trees and other plants available, but everyone interested is strongly encouraged to get orders in as quickly as possible to ensure the variety and quantity of the trees and plants are available.

Drug Free Coalition to meet April 26th

‘Wild About Amherst’ Banquet was lots of fun

It was a joyful, fun time Tuesday night, April 20, 2021 during the Amherst Chamber of Commerce’s 40th Annual Banquet, held in the Amherst School Cafereria. Everyone who attended the “Wild About Amherst” event, enjoyed a lot of laughter, having a good time with their friends, and applauding those who were honored.
