State Capital$1 billion for vouchers, $5 billion for teachers?Legislative budget writers are proposing nearly $5 billion to increase teacher pay and $1 billion to implement a school voucher program in the next biennium, the AustinAmerican- Statesman reported.

Graham Henley takes oath to join LISD School Board

The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on Thursday, January 23, 2025, in the Board Room at Littlefield High School.The meeting was called to order by Board President Gary Birkelbach and the Invocation was given by Will Williams.

New Littlefield City Manager aspires to develop county’s strengths, introduce new ideas

This year, a new face joins Littlefield’s city management. Ray Resendez, the former city manager of Dumas, joins the team with aspirations to expand on existing community initiatives and introduce new ones.The Tulia, Texas native will assume his new Littlefield City Manager position in February.

Littlefield sends seven students to compete in ATSSB Area competition

Seven Littlefield students competed in the ATSSB Area Competition in Levelland on Jan. 11, 2025.The seven students were Zamya Darnell, Sophie Garcia, Bailee Griffin, Matthew Rios, Jimmy Ramos, Jordan Randle and Caleb Caudillo.
