The family sat around their small table and hungrily ate the meal that Mummy and sister Christy had prepared. Fish that Dad caught in the local seas, and potatoes and spinach grown by local folks; which they gulped down. It was dry season, so two meals a day was the local norm.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $4.2 Billion in April

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.24 billion in April, 7.1 percent more than in April 2024. The majority of April sales tax revenue is based on sales made in March and remitted to the agency in April.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Friday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session on Friday at the Lamb County Courthouse to discuss a 12-item agenda.The meeting was called to order at 10 a.m. by Lamb County Judge James DeLoach and the invocation was given by DA Rickie Redman.
