YOUNGEST DRIVER

YOUNGEST DRIVER–4-year-old Klayton Barnett-Kirksey, of Lubbock, drove this 1959 730 John Deere tractor with a three-bottom plow, from one end of Gordon Graves’ field to the other, Saturday, March 27. His close friend, Brady Suffield of Amarillo (tractor owner), was there to assist. The youngster is in a long line of Lamb County farming descendants: among who are Clark B. Hill (great-great-grandfather); Vicki Hill Barnett (his grandmother); and Mindi Barnett, (his mother).
