Body

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Wright Collision Center What started out as a selfowned, start-up business in an old Coca Cola building, known as Wright Motors, has become one of the best-known body shops in West Texas.

In 1971, Foy Wright was drafted into the United States Army and served his country while being deployed to Germany during Vietnam. During his two years of service, he worked various side jobs which included bartending and boot polishing. He saved every cent he could for when he would be discharged from the Army.

In 1973, Foy had a decision to make, buy a corvette that he had his eye on or start a business. He chose the latter and took all of his hard-earned money, and officially opened Wright Motors.

As he would acquire a vehicle to sell that needed work, Foy learned to work basic mechanics. Later, he broadened his knowledge to include auto body repair.

In 1976, Foy married Donna. Together, they continued operating the body shop. Foy took care of the mechanics and auto body repairs and Donna would take care of the books and reception duties. Together, they grew Wright Motors into a thriving business. In 1980, the business was expanded to include a tow truck.

Foy and Donna ran the business out of a small corner office for many years. Wright Motors soon turned into Wright Collision Center. In 2003, the building underwent a major renovation to include a mixing room, paint booth, wash bay, kitchen, and more office space. The building doubled in size and at this time Foy and Donna’s sons became a more active part of the growing business.

In 2007, Wright Motors expanded again and a new location was built in Levelland, TX. Foy and Donna’s son, Casey, became the manager of the new location, while their other son, Kevin, would remain in Littlefield as the manager. Their third son, Allen, took the role of being head painter of the Littlefield location. This expansion more than doubled the success of the body shop.

The business continued to operate in the capacity until 2018, when Foy and Donna made the decision to sell the body shops to Casey and his wife, Vanna. For the last 5 years, Vanna and Casey have owned and operated both locations.

Casey and Vanna are proud to be owners of a thriving business that started from such humble beginnings. Through years of hard work, sweat and tears, the business has morphed into an integral part of both the Littlefield and Levelland communities.

Casey and Vanna attribute the success of the body shops to it being a Christian based company. Vanna states, “This is God’s business. He has brought us this far and we want our work to reflect on Him!”

Another significant attribution to their success is the focus behind the management, their employees. “Each employee is a crucial part of this business and we value and appreciate each and every one of them” Casey states. Casey Wright- 30 years, Vanna Wright- 5 years, Shane Mayes 18 years, Bretton Smith- 18 years, Mike Escandon- 17 years, Kenny Howard- 16 years, Peyton Wright-8 years, Bryan Porras- 4 years, Victoria Dennis- 2 years, Tanner Dennis- 2 years, and Kori Klein- 1 year.

Each member of the Wright Family would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of their customers, for not only their business support, but their loyalty to be repeat customers and friends. It has truly been a blessing to serve the community and to know that the Wright name means something. Foy and Donna have truly left a monumental legacy
