Are you struggling to make an important decision right now? Perhaps you continually struggle to make decisions and maybe you’ve made some bad choices in the past. Well, it’s no secret that making wise decisions can be hard. We see the truth of that everyday… But there are some practical steps we can take. In fact, let me share what I do when trying to make a wise and Godly decision.

#1 Pray & Seek God’s Direction: Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” It’s important to go to God first in all circumstances. Our minds are corrupt, and we tend to see things from an earthly perspective-but God, who knows all things, always provides the best answer. The key is submitting to God. We shouldn’t try to convince God what we think is best, we should submit to His authority and trust that He knows. Sometimes you may have to step out in faith, but I promise He will make the Path straight. It’s the only way to go!

#2 Ask God for Clear Direction: Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” It’s important to be specific in your prayers. Ask God exactly what you are supposed to do. Theologically, we call this Supplication. Be diligent in asking God to give you an incredible peace about whatever needs to happen.

#3: Seek Wise Counsel from Godly People: Proverbs 15:22 says, “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed” I am blessed to have some wonderful people around me. These are people that I can call, and I know that they will give me a very wise answer. Not only that, but they will also pray with me and for me.

So, are you trying to decide what to do about a tough situation? I encourage you to follow these three steps and I promise you’ll be blessed.

Love You All!
