Type ‘A’ LEDC Board holds Zoom meeting

The Littlefield Economic Development Corporation Type “A” board held a Zoom meeting, by video conference, at 12 noon Thursday, Nov. 5, in order to advance the Public Health goal of “Social Distancing”, to slow the spread of the Corona Virus (COVID-19).

There was no public access to the meeting.

No one called in or joined the meeting on line.

Board members present were: Joel Griffith, president; Lori Zinn,vice president; Gary Jones, treasurer; and members, Graham Henley and Bryan Gregory.

Others present were Justin Balderas, new Executive Director; City Manager Mitch Grant; and City Secretary Janine Butler.

Board Chairman Joel Griffith called the meeting to order at 12:03 p.m., then offered the invocation.

Vice President Lori Zinn led the Pledge ofAllegiance.

Minutes approved

Gary Jones made the motion and Graham Henley seconded the motion to approve the July 30 meeting minutes., and the motion passed unanimously.

Financial Reports approved

Treasurer Gary Jones presented the financial reports. The motion was made by Lori Zinn, and was seconded by Joel Griffith to approve the reports. The motion passed unanimously.

Director’s

New Type “A” Director, Justin Balderas, presented the Director’s Report. Graham Henley made the motion and was seconded by Lori Zinn to approve his report. The motion passed unanimously.

For Agenda 7, to consider the approval of Amendment Number 1 to Airport Runway Realignment, Justin Balderas presented the agreement to increase this grant’s match requirement from $16,666, to $17,982.

The motion to approve Amendment Number 1 to be increased to $179,820.00 for the previusly approved grant, was made by Gary Jones. Graham Henley seconded the motion, and the motion passed unanimously.

Agenda 8 was the approval of Justin Balderas as LEDC “A” Executive Director. Lori Zinn made the motion to approve Justin Balderas as LEDC “A” Executive Director, and Gary Jones seconded the motion. The motion passed unimously.

Bryan Gregory made the motion to adjourn, and Lori Zinn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously, and Joel Grifith adjourned the meeting at 12:27 p.m.
