Two Wildcat Band Members selected All-State Musicians

Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, Veronica Tones and Edwin Pompa-Gallegos, along with eight other Littlefield High School Band Students earned seats in the Texas All-State Band.

More than 50,000 students initially entered the TMEA/ATSSB all state competitive process. 1,800 students have been named to 2021 All-State Organizations (bands, jazz ensembles, choirs, orchestras, and mariachi) Given this year’s unique challenges, earning this honor reflects these students’ extraordinary commitment and work toward musical excellence.

Veronica Tones is a senior flutist and is earning her second consecutive seat in the ATSSB Texas All-State Symphonic Band. Veronica placed first chair at the area process, which led to this honor.

Edwin Pompa-Gallegos is a junior Tuba player, who is earning his third consecutive seat in the ATSSB Texas All State Symphonic Band. Edwin placed second chair at the area process which led to this honor.

The ATSSB All-State Bands will attend a clinic/performance June 9-12, 2021 in Melissa. That is in the Dallas/Ft. worth area. These two students will travelgmu re-hearse, and perform a concert in Melissa June 12th, 2021.

“As directors, we are so proud of all of our students. We are blessed to have these two outstanding musicians as members of our organization,” said Wildcat Band Director, Bonnie Anderson.
