EARTH — Lamb County 4-H and FFA Validation for the 2020 market barrows, market lambs, and market goats, breeding heifers, breeding sheep, breeding goats, whether dams, and whether does are now underway.

The deadline for Lambs and Goats is now underway, and the deadline for Barrows and Heifers will be late September.

All validation tags must be ordered on line on the Springlake-Earth FFA website at www.springlake-earth.ffnow.org. Only exhibitors and their families should complete this form, as to insure a communication link between the validation committee and the exhibitor.

Online forms are now available.

There needs to be some discussion concerning breeding stock. #1 ALL ewes and does MUST order corresponding breeding or whether dam/doe tags, even if it is “county only”. #2 Registration papers on required validations MUST be presented prior to validation.

The cost of the tags will be $20 for tags ordered during the regular orders and $30/per tag for late orders. Tags must be paid for at the time of ordering and a $25 late fee will be assessed after 30 days.

Validation must be completed during the month of October for lambs, goats and heifers and November for barrows.

Deadlines will be established at a later date.

Also, exhibitors are encouraged to review the state ethics program and declare at the time of ordering tags that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by the policies outlined. Should exhibitors need additional information, they may contact the local FFA advisor, 4-H agent, or by calling the ag office at Springlake-Earth High School at 806-257-3310, extension 417.
