Irvin Street First Baptist Church will be presenting a Tenebrae Service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

The public is invited to attend. The name tenebrae is the Latin word for darkness, or “shadows”.

That night, the congregation will experience, on a small portion, Christ’s pain and suffering the day of His Crucifiction.

The service features the gradual extingishing of candles, until only a single candle remains burning– considered a symbol of our Lord’s remaining.
