Sudan City Council sets Thursday meeting

A regular meeting of the governing board of the City of Sudan, will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in the Sudan Community Center, 107 E. First Ave. in Sudan.

The board will be considering a 12-item agenda of business:

1. Invocation.

2. Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Approval of prior meeting minutes.

4. Public input and comments.

5. Departmental Reports will include: Water & Sewer Samples; Water leaks; Vehicles repairs; Fire Dept. Statistics and Activities; Judicial Income and Account Status; Code Enforcement Statistics; Seweer line problems; Animal Control statistics; Property Tax Collections & Delinquent Roll; Upcoming Projects and Project Reports; Police Department Statistics; and Grants.

Old Business:

6. Review of the Declaration of Disaster Issued by the Mayor on April 3, 2020, Renewed and Continued by the City Council on April 9, 2020, May 14, 2020, June 11, 2020, July 9, 2020, August 14, 2020, Sept. 10, 2020, Oct. 8, 2020, and Nov. 12, 2020, and consider continuation, modifications, or cancellation.

7. Consider Farm Contract for the City’s Airport Farm in Labor 9, League 224, Collingsworth County School Land, Lamb County, Texas.

New Business:

8. Annual Audit Report by Webb, Webb, and Wright, Certified Public Accountants.

9. Consider a Request to Sudan Economic Development Corp., Inc. for an additional extension regarding a grant award of $10,000 to the City for a Park.

10. Sudan Economic Development Corp., Inc. Activities: Consider resolution in support of project and conduct second reading. Nereida Trillo, dba Trillo’s Salon.

11. Accounts payable and purchase requests and financials.

12. Benediction.
