Continuing in the success of the previous Free Wedding Weekends, Pastors Eddie and Pat Trice and the South Plains Church Congregation, are pleased to announce that they will be hosting their 111h set of weddings at South Plains Church on March 5th and 6th , 2021. Since hosting the event, 46 free weddings have been performed by South Plains Church in Levelland.
There are four remaining spots for the two-day event, which are open to the public. You do not have to be a member or be affiliated with the church in order to participate in this event. The only requirements are a valid Texas marriage license, attend two counseling classes and honor the church’s timeline, as each wedding is two hours apart.
This event will be a community outreach to help couples who would like to get married, but have been facing financial obstacles. The schedule for the weekend will be as follows: Friday, March 5th 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 6th -11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Pat Trice stated, “This is just a great opportunity to bless people and our community.”
The wedding package offered to the couple will be totally free of charge to them and South Plains Church has teamed with many wonderful businesses to make this event as memorable as possible for those who participate.
Included in the Wedding Package for the couple will be complete sanctuary decorations provided by Lou Dee’s Floral, a table provided for the Unity Candle, Communion or Sand Ceremony, flowers: Fresh flower bouquet and boutonnières for the Bride and Groom by Lou Dee’s Floral and provided by the church, artificial flower bouquets and boutonnières for the Bride’s Maids and Groomsmen.
Also provided by the church, minister’s services, wedding coordinator, pre-selected music, soundman services, an MP4 of the ceremony, a wedding photo package, wedding invitations, a 3-tier wedding cake, which serves approximately 100 people, created by United Market Street, and one free night at Best Western Inn and Suites in Levelland, provided by Best Western South Plains Inn and Suites and the church, as well as Honey Moon gift box provided by the church. A Wedding rehearsal the week of the wedding will also be available upon request.
According to “The Wedding Report, Inc.” the average wedding cost in 2016 was $26,645. “We see this as a great ministry opportunity to give people a nice, church wedding without spending $26,000,” stated Eddie Trice, Senior Pastor of South Plains Church.
