The HPWD Board of Directors met September 8 to conduct the following business:
• Approved the Consent Agenda (Minutes, Financial Report, and Bill Payment List).
• Approved applications for water well permits received during August 2020.
• Approved a Dockum Aquifer Partnership Program Funding Application in Parmer County.
• Adopted the 2020 tax rate. • Amended the adopted 2020 budget.
• Received certification of unopposed candidates for the Nov. 3, 2020 election.
• Approved an order cancelling the Nov. 3, 2020 Precinct 3 & 4 election and declaring the unopposed candidates duly elected to their respective offices.
• Readopted the HPWD investment policy.
• Took no action on revisions to the HPWD personnel policy.
• Took no action to support a reassessment of the 1982 six-state High Plains Aquifer Study.
• Discussed a schedule for HPWD rule revisions suggested by County Advisory Committee members.
• Removed Precinct Three District Director-Elect Tony Beauchamp as a member of the Parmer County Advisory Committee.
• A closed executive session was convened.
