St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Pep, Texas is known for its annual Thanksgiving Day Festival.

This year, however, it will only be holding its annual sausage sales on Wednesday, Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving, when Pep’s famous sausage, breakfast sausage, sauerkraut and homemade bread will be for sale from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the parish hall.

Cash or checks only be accepted for the sales, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the church.

Masks will be required for everyone at the sales, and social distancing will be practiced.

A raffle drawing will be held at the end of Wednesday’s sales, and winners will be notified.

Raffle prizes will include: Green Mountain Daniel Boone Prime smoker/grill; a Callaway HyperLite 4 golf bag with a Grizzly 15-qt cooler; and an Apple AirPods Pro.

A donation of $5 for one ticket, or five tickets for $20, may be purchased from any church member, and all day on the 25th during sausage sales. Winners don’t have to be present to win.

Members of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church are disappointed that they will not be holding their annual Thanksgiving Festival this year, due to several factors beyond their control.

Everyone throughout the area is invited to please make plans to attend their 75th Thanksgiving Day Festifal in 2021. They look forward to celebrating again with you and your families next year.

Pep is located in northwestern Hockley County on FM 303. To arrive, going west from Littlefield on FM 54, turn south onto FM 303; while going from Highway 114, turn north onto FM 303.
