The Olton Area Library is hosting several activities for eager readers this summer, including a summer reading contest and weekly activities.
The summer reading contest started on May 26 and continues through June 30. Parents interested in signing their child up may visit the library.
Readers will receive a prize upon signing up and after they turn in their reading logs.
Additionally, the library is hosting weekly events from 2 to 3 p.m. Last week, the summer events kicked off with a dinosaur waterslide and movie.
On June 10, the event will include a performance from Magic Rick, a magician.
On June 17, the library will host a presentation from the Wild West Rehabilitation Center.
On June 24, attendees can make dinosaur-themed arts and crafts.
Additionally, several clubs are continuing to meet at the library this summer.
The Crafting Misfits, a knitting club, meets every other Monday at 3 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring their own projects.
The Book Club meets every third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.
The Exercise Group meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 to 10 a.m.
