The Littlefield Rotary Club has taken the reigns for the annual Administrative Luncheon. The club has not been able to host the luncheon in 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However in 2021, the club organized an Administrative Gift Basket fundraiser, where businesses could purchase a gift basket for their administrative assistants, and the program raised $500.

The Rotary Club also solicited the community for administrative assistant of the year nominations. The club’s selection committee made the selection, based on the nominations.

Lisa Muller, was introduced as the winner of the 2021 “Administrative Assistant of the Year” at last week’s Chamber of Commerce banquet.

The Club elected to donate the money raised from the gift basket fund-raiser to benefit an organization chosen by the “Administrative Assistant of the Year.” Lisa Muller chose to donate the $500 raised by the Gift Baskets, to the Littlefield EMS. Jason Hunter, Rotary Club President, watched as Lisa Muller, who is employed with First Federal Bank SSB, presented the $500 to Joyce McGehee, President of the EMS Volunteer Organization. Albert Rangel, the Littlefield EMS Assistant Director, and Monica McGee, Littlefield EMS Director, were appreciative of the donation, as they watched.
