Littlefield High School graduates receive over $163,000 in scholarships during ceremony

Littlefield High School hosted its annual scholarship ceremony on May 20, granting its graduates over $163,000 worth of scholarships.

Littlefield EMS awarded Audrey McKinnon the first scholarship of the night. This scholarship is awarded to recipients who choose to enter the healthcare field.

Next, Trent Tisdale received Austin’s Army Memorial Scholarship for $500.

The Bryson McCarty Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship awarded in honor of McCarty’s memory to students who seek trade school opportunities, awarded Steven Lowe $1,000.

Kali Cornette received $500 from the Calib Villarreal Memorial Scholarship.

The Capital Farm Credit Scholarship for $1,000 went to Audrey McKinnon.

The Communities Foundation of Texas Jack Ford Shelby Scholarship for $5,000 was presented to Miriam Cueto.

The Communities Foundation of Texas Wildcat Athletic Scholarship for $1,000 was presented to Chip Green.

The Danny M. Marquez Romero Scholarship for $500 was presented to Brinley Acevedo.

The Dunbar LHS Ex-Student Association presented a $500 scholarship to Ezieah Coleman.

The Early Risers Lions Club presented two $1,000 scholarships to Miriam Cueto and Brianna Martinez.

First Federal Bank awarded five $1,000 scholarships to Brinley Acevedo, Chip Green, Teagan Miller, Marysa Saenz and Miriam Cueto.

Food King awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to T’Aijae Chambers, Emily Hitchcox, Adam MacDonald, Brianna Martinez, Marcquis Rosemond, Trent Tisdale, Aidan Tellez and Trishtin Vargas.

Hillcrest Funeral Home presented five $250 scholarships to Madison Brown, Angelica Aguilar, Jimmy Ramos, Devyn Crouch and Chip Green The Hispanic Association of Women presented three $2,000 scholarships to Brinley Acevedo, Chloe Diaz and Monica Elizondo.

The Delta Gamma Gamma Iota Chapter presented a scholarship to Teagan Miller. The scholarship is awarded to aspiring educators. The Jerry Blakely Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 was presented to Chip Green.

The Jimmy Thomas Memorial Scholarship for $500 was presented to Gabriel Villanueva.

The Lamb County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship for $1,000 was presented to Brinley Acevedo.

The Lamb County Electric Cooperative presented a $ 1,500 scholarship to Teagan Miller.

Two Littlefield Arts and Heritage Scholarships for $500 were presented to Teagan Miller and Chip Green.

The Littlefield Class of 1964 Memorial Scholarship for $500 was presented to Major McNeese.

The Littlefield Class of 1984 Scholarship presented three $500 scholarships to Ariel Davis, Cassidy Pinon and Cali Saldana.

The Littlefield Classroom Teachers Association presented two $500 scholarships to Sean Ybarra and Devyn Crouch.

Three $500 Littlefield Elementary Scholarships were awarded to Gabriel Villanueva, Sean Ybarra and Daniel Garza.

The Littlefield Ex-Students Association awarded two scholarships to Audrey McKinnon and Sean Ybarra The Littlefield ISD Credit Union Scholarship for $700 was presented to Emily Hitchcox.

The Littlefield Masonic Lodge presented a $1,000 scholarship to Chip Green.

The Littlefield High School Band presented four $250 scholarships to Rachel Martinez, Levi Rowe, Ethan Beversdorf and Alice Ordonez. Three $500 scholarships were presented to Cesar Garcia, Myli Hernandez and Kiya Williams. Finally, three $1,000 scholarships were presented to Jimmy Ramos, Gabby Medina and Devyn Crouch.

The Spanish Club presented four $250 scholarships to Alfredo Rosa, Andrea Lozando, Monica Elizondo and Miriam Cueto.

The Malachi Frausto Memorial Scholarship for $500 was presented to Myli Hernandez and Marcquis Rosemond The Mr. Wildcat Tommy Cloninger Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 was awarded to Chip Green.

The Patsy Lively Brittian Scholarship for $5,600 was awarded to Chip Green.

The Richard Thompson Memorial Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Miriam Cueto and Chloe Diaz.

The Rotary Club presented eight $8,000 scholarships. Marysa Saenz received the James Shotwell Fund, Adam MacDonald received the Payne-Welborn Fund, Chip Green received the J.D. Hagler Fund, Monica Elizondo received the James Shotwell Fund, Chloe Diaz received the Payne-Welborn Fund, Miriam Cueto received the Art Chester Fund, Devyn Crouch received the J.D. Hagler Fund and Brinley Acevedo received the James Shotwell Fund.

Mi Favorita Panaderia presented a $500 scholarship to Angelica Aguilar.

The Speck and Steven Paul Franklin Memorial Scholarship for $2,000 was presented to three recipients: Major McNeese, Gabriel Villanueva and Chip Green.

The Texas Chapter of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award for $2,000 was presented to Chip Green.

Vexus Fiber presented two $3,000 scholarships to Miriam Cueto and Chip Green.

The Wellington State Bank presented a $2,000 scholarship to Ian Mendez.

The Woodmen of the World, Ed McCanlies Memorial Scholarship for $500 was presented to Steven Lowe.

Miriam Cuento received the $2,000 Outstanding Girl Scholarship, and Chip Green received the Outstanding Boy Scholarship.

The Association for Compensatory Educators with Texas $1,000 scholarship was presented to Miriam Cueto.

The South Plains College Founders Challenge $1,000 scholarship was presented to Sean Ybarra.

The John Navina Morton Scholarship for $ 2,575 was awarded to Monica Elizondo.

South Plains College awarded the last scholarships for the valedictorian and salutatorian. Presley Halton received $5,000, and Chip Green received $3,000.
