Lamb County sees increase in COVID cases

Lamb County Judge James M. DeLoach has issued an update on the COVID-19 virus cases in Lamb County, as of 4:33 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020.

He reported that there was a jump from the 19 known cases last Tuesday, Oct. 6, to the current 77 active cases that were reported to him over last weekend.

So far, there have been 328 recoveries since the pandemic began, and there is no increase in the 23 deaths reported Oct. 6.

Cases he reported for the county’s six communities as of Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020 are:

Amherst has six cases; Earth has four; Littlefield has 52; Olton has five; Spade has one; Sudan has nine; and Springlake has one.
