JAMES ‘BUTCH’ KING

James “Butch” Houston King, 70, of Woliforth, TX passed away on Nov. 12, 2020. A private family memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.

Butch was born on Nov. 11,1950 to John and Louise (Mason) King in Quitman, MS. Butch moved to Texas in 1976 where he met Linda (Sherley) King. They married on Sept. 19, 1980 in Littlefield, TX where they raised their two children, Jonathan and Whitney. Butch worked for American Cotton Growers for 36 years, retiring April of 2013 as a weave room superintendent. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and spending his time caring for and giving to others.
