The Hornet Harvest Festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 19th at the Sudan City Park.
Line up for the parade will begin at 10 a.m. in the Elementary Parking Lot with the Parade going down Main Street at 10:30 a.m.
At 11 a.m. the festivities will begin and vendors will open. Also, the Hornet Hunt will begin, Cow Train will begin, there will be performances by the Cheerleaders and in the Senior Citizens Building there will be a Quilt raffle and a fish fry, as well as pie and ice cream.
What is the Hornet Hunt? Look for bracelets with a Hornet Hunt tag hidden throughout the city park and parade on Sept. 19th. Each one is numbered and may be worth a free gift. Bring your found tag to the Hornet Harvest Festival tent to see what it is worth.
Sign-ups for the Cornhole and volleyball tournaments will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
There will be an animal vet clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All animals must be on a leash and gone from the park by 1 p.m.
Coin Digs will begin at 12:30 p.m. with ages 2-3; ages 4-5 will be at 12:45 p.m. and ages 6-7 will be at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m. Cornhole Tournament #1 and the Volleyball Tournament will begin.
There will be Bingo at the Senior Citizens Building from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Alum meet and gree will take place at Sudan ISD from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cornhole Tournament #2 will begin at 3 p.m.
The Street Dance will be from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
