Groundwater event to be held at Pep Parish Hall Thursday

Farmers, ranchers, agency personnel, educators, and the interested public are invited to attend the next Stewarding Our Aquifer Field Day (SOA) presented by Ogallala Commons on Thursday, May 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Parish Hall, located at 4274 FM 303 in Pep, Texas (Hockley County).

The educational event aims to provide information about man-agement practices that can reduce groundwater depletion in the region, improve playa management for recharge of the Ogallala Aquifer, and assist in the transition from irrigated agriculture to rainfed agriculture. Ogallala Commons is a recipient of HPWD’s Demonstration Grant Funding.

Registration for the event is $20 ( which includes lunch and snacks).
