Littlefield’s Early Risers Lions Club will be hosting its fourth annual Car Show and Cruise this Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the parking lot of the Littlefield Plaza Shopping Center (on the Northwest corner of Phelps and US 84).

The Lions Club will provide a concession stand with soft drinks and grilled treats for purchase.

All funds go to the Early Risers Lions Club’s activities, which include scholarships, eyeglasses, and many other local help projects.

The cruise will start at 1 p.m. (participants should be there by noon) and will follow on the old “cruise route” downtown with free live music in the pocket park on Phelps Avenue.

Several classes and more trophies will be awarded, thanks to the Gold Sponsors; XCEL Energy and Always Towing and Gift Card prizes from O’Reilly Auto Parts. The entry fee is $30, and trophies will be awarded at 5:30 p.m. at the conclusion of the Hotwheel Races.

The Hotwheel Races begin at 5 p.m. and will be done under the shade on the west end of the Shopping Center. The FREE race is for kids 12-years-old and younger.

Entrants should sign up by 4 p.m. A trophy will be awarded to the winner. Entrants are asked to bring your own diecast car (that will fit a regulation Hotwheel track) or the club can supply a limited amount to contestants.

The Nostalgic Cruise route will be from Third Street to the Courthouse on Phelps, and starts from Laguna Park (on the west side of Phelps).

The free cruise will line up on the east side and start at 7 p.m., and will last until 11 p.m. (Some of the downtown construction may cause a reroute of the cruise).

All events are free for the public to watch. Contact Mitch Grant (Event Chairman) at 806-724-5231, or email him at: mitch.grant2611@yahoo.com to get an entry form.
