Crop Production and Protection seminar to be held Dec. 20th

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Levelland is hosting a Crop Production and Protection Seminar Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022 worth five TDA CEU’s (1 L&R, 2 IPM, 1 Drift, & 1 Gen).

The seminar will be held at the Hockley County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office, located at 1212 Houston Street Suite 2. The cost for the seminar is $25. Registration starts at 8 a.m.

The first part of the seminar will start at 9 a.m. and will cover Laws and Regulations/TDA Guidelines for Licensing, held by Dr. Mark Matocha.

The second portion of the seminar, What goes into selecting a variety?, will cover Ensuring Seed Quality and a Good Stand and Cotton, held by Dr. Craig Bednarz, and Feed Grains/Silage/Forage held by Dr. Calvin Trostle.

The third section of the seminar, How reliable are insect technologies? Efficacy & economic thresholds, will start at 11 a.m. This section will cover Understanding Gene Transfer and Protection by Dr. David Kerns, Efficacy of Pesti-
