Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Lamb County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday, Sept. 12th in the Lamb County Courthouse to discuss a six-item agenda.

Lamb County Judge, Mike DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was nobody present for public comment.

The Consent Agenda items;

(a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); regular meeting, Aug. 29, 2022.

(b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; none.

(c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Terra Hopper that amounted to $624,521.62.

(d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll presented by Terra Hopper. Lamb County payroll amounted to $145,955.18 and Lamb Healthcare Center payroll amounted to $184,911.40.

(e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; none. The motion was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried.

Item four was Discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations, however, Judge DeLoach stated that Cindy Pope came by his office and would be absent for this Commissioner’s Court due to attending Rural Hospital Conference.

Rickie Redman, Lamb County Assistant District Attorney reported a Zoom Meeting to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14th at 3 p.m. with MTC, TCCO and The Prescription Shop. Judge DeLoach asked Commissioner Logan to attend meetings and keep informed regarding the Lamb Healthcare Center, as it is in his precinct.

Item number five on the agenda was future agenda items.

Lenora gave a report on the Ag Barn renovations and Judge DeLoach will call Special Commissioner’s Court Meeting on Monday, Sept. 19th at 9 a.m. for a vote regarding accepting one bid or rejecting all bids.

Brandon Albus, County Extension Agent introduced the new Agronomist, Christy Keys and she gave a report on projects that are going on in four counties. Albus also gave a report detailing the Lamb County kids projects and activities over the past weekend.

With their being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner DeBerry to adjourn. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
