Commissioners hold regular meeting July 31

The Commissioner’s Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting on Friday, July 28th, at the Lamb County Courthouse to discuss a nine-item agenda.

The five Consent Agenda items to be considered are: a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting, July 17, 2023. b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line-item transfers; none. c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; none. d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; none. e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; none.

The motion to approve the consent agenda items was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan.

The motion passed unanimously. Item four on the agenda was Sheriff’s Fees.

The motion was made by Commissioner Kent Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Logan to approve Sheriff’s Fees. The motion passed unanimously.

The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on two Inter Local Agreements between SPAG & The City of Littlefield and Lamb County for construction of a waterline in the county.

The motion was made by Commissioner Short and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve the two Inter Local Agreements between SPAG & The City of Littlefield & Lamb County for construction of a waterline in the county. The motion passed unanimously.

Item six on the agenda was Lamb Healthcare Operations. Cindy Pope and Dylan Brown gave reports on LHC operations.

Under Future Agenda Items, each Elected Official and Department Head gave brief reports on office and future agenda items.

The Court went into another Budget work session, that showed the Extension Office budgeted an increase of $6,000.

With there being no further business to discuss, the motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned.
