Commissioners conduct short business meeting

Lamb County Commissioners handled a short business agenda Monday morning, Nov. 9, 2020.

With Lamb County Judge James Mike DeLoach presiding, he called the meetin to order, then gave the opening prayer and led the Pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags.

There was no one who made a comment on any of the agenda items.

Commissioners approved the five consent agenda items together in one vote.

The minutes from the Oct. 26 meeting were approved with all of the other consent agenda items.

There were no budget and salary amendments, and/or lineitem transfers to be made.

Bills submitted by the County Auditor, Gina Jones, that were ordered paid, included $139,040.25 for Lamb County and $550.711.69 for Lamb Healthcare Center, for a total of $698,751.94.

Payrolls submitted by the Lamb County Treasurer included: $147,718.90 for Lamb County, and $179.146.96 from Lamb Healthcare Center’s account, which were ordered paid.

The departmental reports that were received were approved.

The Commissioners discussed and approved the Fiscal Year 2021 Formula Grant Application for Texas Indigent Defense Commission.

While discussing future agenda items, the two re-elected commissioners, Cory DeBerry, Precinct 1; and Danny Short, Precinct 3, are to be sworn into office again on Jan. 1, 2021.
