Amherst Independent School District has announced registration information for the upcoming school year, outlining dates and times for students across all grade levels ahead of the start of classes.
The district will hold registration over two days in early August, with separate schedules for high school and younger students.
High school registration is set for Aug. 3 and will be divided into two groups. Football players, seniors and juniors will register from 9 to 11:30 a.m., followed by sophomores and freshmen from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration for prekindergarten, elementary and junior high students will take place Aug. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families with students in those grade levels can complete enrollment during that time.
The scheduled registration dates provide families an opportunity to finalize enrollment, update student information and prepare for the upcoming academic year. District officials encourage parents and guardians to bring any necessary documents and arrive within the designated time frame to avoid delays.
