Amherst Chamber of Commerce holds Community Fund Raiser for new park activity equipment

    On Thursday, April 25, 2024, The Amherst Chamber of Commerce successfully surpassed their $ 20,000.00 goal by raising $2,260.00 during their Hamburger Fundraiser.

    The funds are earmarked for new activity equipment for the Amherst City Park.

    Patrons of the fund-raising event showed up for the Amherst youth project, despite the dust storm roaring through the area that day.

    Supporters had the options to drive through, carryout, or eat inside the Amherst Community Center. The prepared carryout meals included a hamburger with all the trimmings, dessert and a drink.
