The Littlefield Library hosted a gingerbread house decorating contest until Dec. 19, where winners from various age groups were eligible for prizes.
Among the prizes offered were Barnes and Noble and Visa gift cards, certificates for salon hairstyling, and baking tools.
Assistant Librarian Ambrosia Nelson said the competition deadline was extended to Dec. 19 to allow more competitors to enter and drop off their creations.
The competition was split between age groups 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 17, and 18 or older contestants.
The youngest age group first and second-place competition winners were Emily Simpson and Gael Rodriguez, respectively.
For ages 9 to 12, Jenna and Alicia Sanchez won first place, and Arianna Sea won second.
Anela Lucero solely placed first for the 13 to 17 age group.
Three winners were in the 18and-older age group: Amy Rojas, who took first place; Savannah Ramirez, who took second; and Mariah Knox, who took third.
