2022 School Board, City Council Elections set for May 7

The 2022 Littlefield ISD School Board Election will be held Saturday, May 7, in conjunction with the Littlefield City Council Election. All dates concerning these elections were set by the Texas Secretary State’s Office.

Filing for a place on the School Board election ballot will be received at the Central ISD offices, 1207 E. 14 th Street, while filing to be placed on the ballot for the City Council election will be received at the Littlefield City Hall, 301 XIT Drive.

Two places are to be decided for Districts 1 and 2. Terms are nearing an end for Eric Saenz in District 1, and Michael Rangel in District 2.

On election day, Saturday, May 7, voting places will be open for both the school and city elections in the Littlefield City Council Chambers, 525 Phelps Avenue in Littlefield.

Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 is the first day for filing for a place on the May 7, 2022, ballots for elections to the Littlefield ISD Board of Trustees, and the Littlefield City Council. Filing by candidates may be accomplished by personal appearance through Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The last day to submit a declaration of write-in candidacy is Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022.

Requests from the Lamb County Clerk’s Office, 806-485- 0058, for ballots for early voting by mail will be accepted from April 1 through April 7.

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted weekdays April 25, 2022, through May 3, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Littlefield ISD Central offices, 120 East 14 th Street, and Littlefield City Hall, 301 XIT Drive, in Littlefield.

On April 25 and 26, early voting will be available for voters from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the LISD Central offices, and City Hall.
