Littlefield still spraying to control mosquitoes

The City of Littlefield is continuing to monitor mosquitoes, and is continuing its schedule for spraying. Spraying of the entire city (depending on how the wind is blowing) is still being done three nights a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, to try to control mosquitoes.

NEW SCHOLARSHIP – During the recent South Plains College Law Enforcement Academy graduation, the SPC Foundation announced the establishment of the newly endowed Sgt. Joshua Bartlett Memorial Scholarship to assist students in the Law Enforcement program. The ceremonial check was presented to the family. Two chuck wagons with beans cooking over an open fire pit, and an author unveiling her new chuck wagon cookbook, will greet visitors Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC) at Texas Tech University.
